Birmingham County Court Update – Thursday 12th May

So more from Birmingham County Court – lets start with those in prison

Amy Pritchard and Emily Brocklebank are being released from HMP Foston Hall, with costs £195 each. There should be some video of them soon to post here. 

Meanwhile Michelle Charlesworth, refused to leave prison to attend court as summoned and has been remanded until Tuesday. Due to her peaceful refusal to comply with the judicial system and prison staff she has been placed in solitary confinement. She has only been in prison since Tuesday May 4th. What next? Forced feeding?

If you are concern for Michelle, come to the Royal Courts of Justice, The Strand, London; Saturday 14th May, 12 noon. Show your solidarity for her and the others in-prisoned for peacefully resisting our harmful government.

Back to court, Lucia Whitaker and Alyson Lee were released with fines of £195 each. Sam Johnson was fined £300 and Mark Coleman £600, neither were remanded.

Now the no shows, those who have refused to attend court as and instead returned to Kingsbury, with other Just Stop Oil supporters to re-break the Kingsbury injunction. A warrant for Rajan Naidu‘s arrest was issued but no arrest warrant for Victoria Lindsell, Joe Howlett or Beth Garrett who also refused to attend.

Hannah Torrance-Bright who was also at Kingsbury has a warrant out for her arrest, due to her decison not to attend court for breaking the Warwickshire injunction on May 4th. She was at this date inside the Nustar Oil Depot, Glasgow.

In total 12 Just Stop Oil supporter were arrested – more in court tomorrow and in the weeks to come…
